Dorper ewes produce a large amount of quality milk
low in lactose and high in butterfat. This not only enables the lambs to grow rapidly but also presents opportunities for Dorpers as a milking sheep.

The Dorper is well known for its spontaneous shedding coat and excellent carcass quality but the easy care and low inputs makes this breed an ideal choice for prime lamb production in todays world.
